ECMC Foundation a Brand New Grantmaker Hits the Ground Running

ECMC Foundation, refocused in 2014 to become a grantmaking organization that invests in evidence-based innovations for underserved students, needed to stand up efficient, auditable grant processes quickly as it prepared to invest $20 million a year starting in 2016. As a new grantmaker, the foundation wanted a smooth transition off spreadsheets, clear role-based access, and tight integration with finance so staff and directors could work confidently from day one.

Using Fluxx, ECMC Foundation went live in three months and achieved 100% adoption: a linked, intuitive system with role-based permissions, real-time updates, and dashboarded workflows. Fluxx streamlined grant intake and payouts, helped manage the GO! employee-nomination program (about 700 participants), and gave the foundation a single source of truth that sped processes and improved oversight from the start.
