DIBS For Kids Grows Funding and Programming with Fluxx Grantseeker

DIBS for Kids, founded by former Teach For America teacher David Orrick, is a nonprofit that gets age-appropriate books into students’ homes to boost literacy. The organization struggled to manage grants and funder communications using spreadsheets and email, which was inefficient and hard to hand off to rotating AmeriCorps VISTA volunteers; they needed a simple, cloud-based system to track grant lifecycles, budgets, reports, and relationships.

DIBS adopted Fluxx Grantseeker, whose user-friendly UI, task notifications, calendar integrations, budget tracking, and Answer Bank centralized grant work and made it easy for volunteers to manage day-to-day tasks. As a result, six users now manage 479 grants and requests in Fluxx, the program has tripled in size since 2017, and DIBS has expanded its impact to serve over 3,000 children while improving funder communication and growth planning.
