Central Valley Community Foundation Empowered by Greater Efficiency and Quality Data

The Central Valley Community Foundation, a nonprofit serving California’s Central San Joaquin Valley since 1966, supports philanthropy across economic, social, educational, cultural, and environmental needs. Staff struggled with a homegrown forms system and ad-hoc processes that made managing grant cycles slow and error-prone—data quality was unreliable and routine tasks (like exporting CSVs and mail merges) could take days.

In 2013 the foundation implemented Fluxx’s grants-management platform to modernize workflows. The system linked applications, records, and processes, giving staff quick, trustworthy access to data and significantly reducing manual work—improving efficiency and enabling faster, higher-quality service to grantees.
