Arcus Finds a New Way to Work, and a Single Truth

The Arcus Foundation, a global philanthropy focused on social and environmental justice, struggled with a disconnected, non–web-based grants system that made it hard to manage data, track workloads, and tell the story of its grantmaking. Seeking “a single truth,” Arcus needed a modern, web-based platform to centralize records, increase transparency, automate workflows, and provide easy, organization-wide access.

Arcus selected Fluxx for its intuitive interface and the added value of grantee and trustee portals. The platform is now used by roughly 90% of staff, improved cross-team connectivity and remote collaboration, and cut the time from grant agreement to payment by half. Fluxx also created a reusable repository for applicant documentation, streamlined processes, and helped Arcus continuously refine how it makes grants.
