Dubai World Trade Centre Ensures Wi-Fi Performance for Exhibitors by Hunting Rogue APs with Fluke Networks' AirCheck Wi-Fi Tester

The Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), a leading exhibitions and events venue in Dubai, needed to ensure consistent Wi‑Fi for thousands of visitors and exhibitors. Even after moving their network to the 5 GHz band and issuing a usage policy, unauthorized access points and interference — compounded by ceiling sensor inaccuracies — made it difficult and time-consuming to pinpoint rogue APs and maintain service quality.

DWTC adopted Fluke Networks’ AirCheck Wi‑Fi Tester, purchasing six handheld units to equip their engineering team. The testers let staff rapidly identify and locate rogue devices (typically within 5–15 minutes), streamline enforcement of the usage policy, sharply reduce rogue deployments, and ensure reliable Wi‑Fi performance across events.
