CompuCom, a U.S.-based managed IT services provider supporting more than four million users, was tasked with maintaining three data centers and a backup bunker for a Top 10 global retailer—about 20,000 servers and 150,000 cables. The retailer required faster, more reliable fiber inspection, certification and reporting as CompuCom migrated an MPO backbone to LC‑APC to future‑proof the network and support higher bandwidth applications.

CompuCom adopted the Fluke Networks Versiv platform—using the FI‑7000 FiberInspector Pro with OptiFiber Pro OTDR and CertiFiber Pro loss testing—integrating end‑face images, OTDR and loss results in LinkWare PC. Automated IEC‑compliant inspections returned results in ~1 second, cutting testing time in half, enabling a seamless migration of 3,000 links from 1G to 10G, improving reporting and dispute resolution, and saving at least $3,000 in annual labor while raising client confidence and service standards.
