SSE Distribúcia, one of the largest energy suppliers in Slovakia, needed deeper network visibility and stronger security after a major infrastructure upgrade. The company’s legacy HP-based monitoring no longer met its needs, and unreliable traffic, packet issues, and the growing complexity of its network made monitoring critical. Flowmon Networks was brought in with Flowmon Probes, Flowmon Collector, Flowmon ADS, and Flowmon Traffic Recorder to help monitor this vital environment.

Flowmon Networks implemented centralized traffic monitoring and analysis across SSE Distribúcia’s main sites, enabling automatic anomaly reporting, detailed packet/traffic capture, and forensic investigation when issues occur. The solution improved operational visibility, helped detect security anomalies that traditional tools might miss, and reduced the need to store unnecessary data by triggering capture only during incidents. Since deployment, noteworthy events now occur only about once a month, showing the upgraded network is running smoothly and reliably.
