Slovenská Sporiteľňa, one of Slovakia’s largest banks, needed far better visibility across its extensive WAN and LAN environment spanning more than 150 branches, over 100 independent LANs, and two data centres. Existing monitoring tools could not provide enough information for effective network management, security, or insight into internal network activity, so the bank turned to Flowmon Networks and its network traffic monitoring solution.

Flowmon Networks implemented a distributed setup with a central 12TB Flowmon collector, four virtual Flowmon probes, and 25 NetFlow-exporting active elements, integrated with the bank’s SIEM and incident management processes. The result was improved network visibility, stronger security, more effective administration, and faster troubleshooting, helping Slovenská Sporiteľňa identify incidents and respond more quickly.
