A Flowmon Networks Case Study
SEGA, one of the leading interactive entertainment companies with offices worldwide, needed better visibility across its large, distributed network. The company had been relying on packet capture for analysis, but it was too storage- and time-intensive, especially for troubleshooting and monitoring traffic across 11 group offices and 20 buildings. Flowmon Networks was brought in to replace that approach with a NetFlow-based solution.
Flowmon Networks implemented Flowmon Collector with Flowmon Probes, Cisco active devices, and Flowmon ADS to collect, store, and analyze flow data and detect anomalies. The result was detailed real-time network visibility, faster root cause analysis, improved capacity planning, automated routine tasks, and enhanced security; SEGA also noted that the installation was simple and intuitive. The deployment supports monitoring for 2,600 employees and tens of gigabytes of game data transferred daily.
