Raiffeisen Bank, one of the largest banks in the Czech Republic, needed a way to monitor data flows in its data centers in much greater detail. With no existing tool to show what was happening at the communications level, the IT team also needed to reuse its Cisco Nexus 7000 infrastructure, retain statistics for at least one month, and automatically detect anomalies. Flowmon Networks provided the solution, using Flowmon Collector VA and Flowmon ADS Business.

Flowmon Networks and ALEF NULA deployed NetFlow v9 on the existing Cisco Nexus 7000 devices and sent all traffic data to a 2TB virtual Flowmon Collector. The system stores, analyzes, and visualizes network statistics while Flowmon ADS automatically detects suspicious activity and alerts on anomalies. As a result, Raiffeisen Bank gained cost-effective, detailed visibility into network operations, stronger security, and better detection of incidents, infected workstations, and operational issues.
