Case Study: PASNET achieves rapid network anomaly detection and better visibility with Flowmon Networks

PASNET, the Prague Academic Computer Network serving more than 100,000 users across 200+ locations for universities and research institutions, needed better visibility into traffic on its 10Gbps backbone and Internet links, plus faster anomaly detection and troubleshooting across its high-speed metropolitan network. To address these challenges, PASNET turned to Flowmon Networks and deployed Flowmon probes and Flowmon collectors.

Flowmon Networks implemented Flowmon probes on PASNET’s two 10Gbps Internet lines and a Flowmon Collector for long-term traffic statistics, along with a virtual collector for rapid analysis of recent incidents. The solution delivered excellent network visibility and reporting, automated parts of network administration and security, and enabled quick detection of traffic problems and anomalies, making PASNET’s network management more efficient and responsive.
