The Olomouc Region’s Regional Authority needed better visibility into a large network with more than 600 computers. Although the perimeter was secured, traffic inside the internal LAN was not monitored, making it difficult to detect, prove, and troubleshoot network problems, as well as monitor access to LAN resources. Flowmon Networks addressed this need with its FlowMon Probe 4000.

Flowmon Networks implemented an all-in-one 1U FlowMon Probe 4000 connected to the Internet line and central network unit, with a built-in collector and FlowMon Monitoring Center for long-term traffic history and reporting. The solution enabled full traffic monitoring, better localization of network issues, automation of management and security processes, and lower operating costs, while improving security and network optimization across the authority’s main and branch offices.
