O2 IT Services, part of the O2 Group in the Czech Republic, needed better monitoring and security oversight for its Security Expert Centre (SEC) and SECaaS offering. The company faced high demands on service availability and reliability, along with the need to monitor network traffic, detect incidents quickly, and integrate security monitoring into its own comprehensive managed security services. Flowmon Networks provided Flowmon Probe 2000 VA, Flowmon Collector 1000 VA, and Flowmon ADS Business to support these requirements.

Flowmon Networks implemented a virtualized monitoring setup with Flowmon Probes on each VMware ESXi server, sending traffic data to a Flowmon Collector with Flowmon ADS Business for storage, analysis, and anomaly detection. The solution was fully integrated into O2 IT Services’ internal SIEM system, giving the team visibility into network traffic down to the application layer, automating administration and security tasks, and improving incident detection and troubleshooting. As a result, O2 IT Services was able to strengthen network security and package these capabilities into a more effective and affordable service for its customers.
