Správa Informačních Technologií Města Plzně (SITMP) manages the city of Pilsen’s metropolitan IT infrastructure, including a 10Gbps backbone, 150 km of optical lines, and connectivity for about 100 organizations and 5,000 PCs. To oversee the operation and security of this large network, SITMP needed better visibility for capacity planning, troubleshooting, and compliance. Flowmon Networks provided traffic monitoring and analysis tools for this environment.

Flowmon Networks implemented Flowmon Collector R5-6000 Pro with Flowmon ADS Business, leveraging Cisco Catalyst 6500 switches with NetFlow support. The solution gave SITMP a complete history of network activity, automatic incident and anomaly detection, and faster isolation of issues at the configuration, network, and application levels. As a result, SITMP improved capacity planning, validated service quality and availability, and strengthened security monitoring across its network.
