Anchor Yeast eliminates manual order re-entry and meets retailer EDI mandates with Flowgear

Anchor Yeast, a leading manufacturer of yeast and ingredients in Southern Africa, faced a challenge when a major retailer, Pick n Pay, mandated a transition to an EDI-based purchase order process. Their previous manual order processing was prone to delays and errors and could not keep up with the new requirement. To meet this hard deadline, Anchor Yeast turned to the integration platform Flowgear for a solution.

Flowgear automated the entire order process by integrating the inbound EDI orders directly into Anchor Yeast's SYSPRO ERP system, which then automatically generated sales orders. This eliminated manual re-entry, sharply reduced errors, and allowed for easier resolution of complex pricing issues. The success with Pick n Pay led Anchor Yeast to extend the same Flowgear integration to another major retailer, Shoprite, with plans to add more.
