Case Study: A14 Integrated Delivery Team achieves faster processes and better governance with FlowForma

A FlowForma Case Study

Preview of the A14 Integrated Delivery Team Case Study

FlowForma addressed construction site challenges and put the A14 Integrated Delivery Team on the road to process improvements and better governance

The A14 Integrated Delivery Team, responsible for the £1.5bn A14 Cambridge to Huntingdon Improvement Scheme, faced slow, paper-based approval processes across distributed site compounds that caused lost documents, delays and poor governance. To centralize data and create a single source of truth, the A14 IDT selected FlowForma and its FlowForma Process Automation platform to replace manual forms and spreadsheets.

FlowForma delivered a SharePoint-based, no-code workflow solution with FlowForma SureStart onboarding, enabling the A14 IDT to build 24 automated flows (eg. Permit to Dig, Site Visit Requests, Material Requisition) that are mobile-accessible and integrate with existing SQL reporting. The result, according to A14, is faster approvals that save days of work, stronger audit trails and document control (PDF exports to records), improved reporting from integrated data, and a clear path to wider rollout and GIS integration — all delivered by FlowForma.
