Second Harvest and Flowfinity Partner to Optimize Food Rescue Services

Second Harvest, Canada’s largest food rescue program, was managing pickups, deliveries and timesheets with paper forms and spreadsheets, which created slow data entry, illegible records and difficulty looking up past information. To replace this manual process and enable two-way mobile data access in the field, Second Harvest partnered with Flowfinity Wireless Inc., using its Flowfinity enterprise mobile app platform to digitize driver forms, route data and back-office integration.

Flowfinity Wireless Inc. delivered a configurable, no-code mobile solution that lets drivers record pickups/deliveries, weights by category, timesheets, vehicle inspections and incident reports (with photos) and access donor/agency notes in real time. The change eliminated routine weekly paper processing, improved visibility for route and load optimization, provided accurate payroll times and easier donor reporting, and enabled Second Harvest staff to publish app updates themselves — with Flowfinity enabling faster reporting, better maintenance tracking and expanded field usage.
