Tisséo Collectivités sought to simplify its public transport network by enabling ticket-free travel, removing complex fares for tourists, and promoting a shift from private car use to support ecological goals. To address this challenge, they partnered with Flowbird to implement an Open Payment solution.

Flowbird provided its Open Payment system and CloudFare® ticketing back office, installing over 1,800 validators across all transit modes. This allowed passengers to pay directly with bank cards or smart devices. The solution was a fast success, processing over one million transactions in its first four months and supporting cards from more than 130 countries, successfully promoting sustainable mobility.
