UpWest, a Palo Alto–based venture firm that backs Israeli founding teams (most recently raising a $70M fund and managing more than 90 investments), struggled with document management and investor communications as its LP base grew past 200. Relying on email and Excel left K-1s, account statements and quarterly reports buried in inboxes, creating repetitive requests and heavy admin overhead.
