Case Study: Warehouse Stationery achieves streamlined, automated online order fulfillment with Flow Software

A Flow Software Case Study

Preview of the Warehouse Stationery Case Study

Warehouse Stationery ships seamlessly with Flow

Warehouse Stationery, New Zealand’s largest supplier of stationery with 51 stores and a growing web business, decided to close its central distribution centre and move to third‑party logistics, sending online orders to four store-based pick hubs and CourierPost. Oracle WMS could not be deployed at store level and the retailer’s bespoke “Black Isle” (Clipper) ERP made integration difficult, so Warehouse Stationery engaged Flow Software for an integration/EDI solution to link its web store, store hubs and courier.

Flow Software delivered an integration platform that imports orders from Warehouse Stationery’s ERP, generates address‑validated courier labels and packing slips, and creates manifests for CourierPost. Built in weeks and rolled out store‑by‑store to the four hubs, the automated solution improved first‑time fulfillment and picking efficiency, added reporting and monitoring to reduce downtime, and has run with high availability so Warehouse Stationery rarely needs support—enabling the move away from a central DC with smoother deliveries and clear operational gains.
