Case Study: Hermpac achieves seamless EDI invoicing and faster invoice-to-cash with Flow Software

Timber supplier trading goes digital

Hermpac (Herman Pacific Ltd), a New Zealand timber manufacturer and supplier, needed to stop posting paper invoices after its major retail and trade partners (Placemakers, ITM, Carters, Mitre10, Bunnings) required electronic submissions. To meet the different ERP requirements of each partner, Hermpac engaged Flow Software to provide EDI and integration services, replacing manual paperwork with an automated invoicing interface.

Flow Software installed middleware that reads invoice views from Hermpac’s Dynamics SL (via Adaptable Consulting), polls the SQL exports regularly and sends invoices by EDI, and even implemented a PO-hold workaround to allow manual validation of specialty orders. The result: elimination of printing/postage, faster and more accurate invoice dispatch, improved reliability and a quicker invoice‑to‑cash cycle — with the first go‑live in February 2016 and multiple merchant integrations completed since, all reported running smoothly.
