Case Study: WineWorks achieves automated supply-chain integration and faster order processing with Flow Software

NZ wine industry embraces automation

WineWorks, a New Zealand wine logistics and distribution group, needed to automate and integrate its supply chain to cut administration costs, stop duplicate rekeying and data-entry errors, and prevent stock being allocated when unavailable. To achieve efficient EDI order exchange with producers such as Sacred Hill, WineWorks engaged Flow Software and its Flow integration platform to drive the project alongside their ERP partner.

Flow Software implemented an automated EDI-based process and online portal that links production, bottling, warehousing and distribution, allowing Sacred Hill to send orders directly and view order status within minutes. The Flow Software solution eliminated duplicate data entry and many input errors, reduced administration processing costs, improved order handling speed, and positions WineWorks to onboard other producers and lower industry-wide supply-chain costs.
