Improving wine Flow Online retailer boosts efficiency through integration

Advintage, a leading New Zealand online wine retailer, upgraded its e-commerce platform to Magento and needed to integrate that storefront with its MYOB EXO (Exonet) back‑office system to maintain accurate stock, accounting and shipping data. To solve this challenge Advintage engaged Flow Software to provide the middleware integration and implementation support to connect Magento and EXO.

Flow Software implemented a middleware integration that links Magento via API to EXO’s database, automatically creating sales orders, adjusting stock, updating payment and shipment/tracking details, and feeding customer self‑service updates back into EXO. The integration synchronises approximately every two minutes, removes manual re‑keying, provides exception notifications for rapid resolution, delivers end‑to‑end process automation, and was completed on schedule and close to the estimated budget — eliminating tedious work and keeping stock availability accurate across systems.
