How Flow drove easier automotive ERP upgrade

European Motor Distributors, the New Zealand importer and distributor for Audi, Volkswagen, Porsche and Skoda, faced an ERP upgrade of its Incadea system while managing roughly 38 integration points with dealers, manufacturers and suppliers (dealers alone use seven different DMSs). To avoid disruption to core systems and the wider supply chain, EMD turned to integration specialist Flow Software and its middleware to keep existing integrations intact during the upgrade.

Flow Software’s middleware transformed and routed master data from EMD’s single source into the formats required by multiple DMSs and upstream partners, meaning only EMD’s Incadea ERP needed to be changed and tested. The upgrade was delivered smoothly, on time and within budget, while preserving approximately 38 integration points, improving data accuracy across websites and showrooms, automating end-to-end data flows, and providing ongoing access to Flow Software expertise that reduced internal resourcing and drove efficiency gains.
