Case Study: Bluerock achieves seamless supermarket integration and faster invoicing with Flow Software's EDI solution

A Flow Software Case Study

Preview of the Bluerock Case Study

EDI delivers multiple benefits for growing FMCG business

Bluerock, a New Zealand FMCG supplier, was handling 100–200 supermarket orders a day by manually logging into Foodstuffs and Woolworths exchanges and keying orders into Microsoft Dynamics NAV, creating a growing data‑entry bottleneck. To integrate its invoicing and order flows with major retail partners, Bluerock engaged Flow Software to deliver an Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) / middleware solution.

Flow Software implemented a staged EDI rollout (orders, acknowledgments, dispatches, invoicing and credit notes) using pre‑configured partner adapters and coordinated work between two NAV partners. The solution eliminated manual paperwork, reduced order processing by roughly one full‑time equivalent, increased capacity to about 200–250 orders per day, improved accuracy and reliability, and sped up order acceptance and the invoice‑to‑cash cycle. Flow Software’s coordination and sector experience were cited as key to the project’s success.
