A Florence Healthcare Case Study
The Medical College of Wisconsin (Medical College of Wisconsin) is Wisconsin’s largest private research institution managing roughly 750 active clinical trials and multiple affiliate sites. Before going digital, MCW’s clinical research was predominantly paper-based and siloed, causing inefficiencies around physical storage, printing, slow PI signatures, and lengthy staff onboarding. In late 2019–2020 they selected Florence Healthcare’s Florence eBinders to address these issues and support remote collaboration highlighted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Florence Healthcare implemented its site-centric eBinders, eSignatures, eLogs and remote monitoring capabilities, standardizing document workflows across units and enabling over 1,200 internal users and more than 1,000 external monitors to access study records. As a result, document signature turnaround improved from over a week to under an hour, staff onboarding dropped from several weeks to a few days, and coordinators reclaimed time for patient-focused activities while reducing storage and printing costs.
