How a Global Company Collaborates from a Virtual Office

Namecheap, the world’s second-largest domain retail registrar with 1,200+ co-located and remote employees, needed a better way to collaborate across time zones. Email and video calls weren’t sufficient for real-time teamwork, large-group meetings, or quick availability checks, and the team was frustrated by juggling multiple tools (they had previously used HipChat). To address this, Namecheap adopted Flock as their primary virtual office.

Flock consolidated chat, presence and customizable statuses, video calls, file sharing, Shared To-dos, Reminders and third‑party integrations into a single workspace, cutting down “transit time” for information and speeding project work. The platform made collaboration more engaging and easier to administer, with admins finding setup straightforward. Flock also enabled company-wide participation—hundreds of employees used Flock channels to celebrate Namecheap’s 10 million domains milestone—helping the global team work faster and more cohesively.
