The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office faced budget constraints that prevented them from adopting license plate recognition (LPR) technology, forcing them to rely on inefficient and inaccurate eyewitness accounts and manual video review. This left large portions of their diverse jurisdiction unmonitored and created opportunities for crime. The solution involved deploying Flock Safety's cameras, including the Falcon and Falcon Flex models, to provide comprehensive roadway coverage. Using FlockOS to manage real-time alerts and searchable data, the Sheriff’s Office achieved rapid results. They solved a violent assault case in just 30 minutes and their Real-Time Intelligence Center gained the ability to respond to incidents faster than 911 dispatch, enabling proactive policing and enhancing public safety.
