Licking Heights School District deploys Flock Safety in weeks to protect 5,000+ students

Licking Heights School District, a growing K-12 district in Ohio, was faced with rising safety concerns including vandalism, theft, and unauthorized access to its properties. Despite deploying hundreds of video cameras, Safety and Security Supervisor Brian Evans identified a gap in instantly knowing when an at-risk person entered school property. The district turned to Flock Safety and its Falcon LPR cameras to address this challenge.

Flock Safety implemented its License Plate Recognition (LPR) technology to monitor the school perimeters. The solution provided real-time alerts for vehicles on pre-defined hotlists, such as those belonging to sex offenders or unauthorized parents, and strengthened the district's partnership with law enforcement via integration with the NCIC database. As a result, the district gained a powerful new layer of security, leading them to deploy additional Flock Safety cameras throughout the district shortly after the initial implementation.
