A Flo Case Study
Dufferin County, a rural municipality in Ontario, faced a significant challenge as nearly half of its greenhouse gas emissions came from transportation. To reduce emissions and encourage electric vehicle (EV) adoption among residents, the county needed to deploy a reliable public EV charging network but lacked in-house expertise and was concerned about vendor reliability and maintenance support. They chose FLO as their vendor for its SmartTWO Level 2 and SmartDC 50kW fast chargers.
FLO provided a complete turnkey solution, including hardware, a reliable network, and centralized project management. This single point of contact for installation, maintenance, and support ensured a smooth deployment and high operational reliability. The results were substantial: the network achieved 99.8% uptime, facilitated over 10,000 charging sessions, and prevented over 72 metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions. The project's success established Dufferin County as a leader in climate action and significantly increased local interest in EV adoption.
