Wembley Stadium Scores a Perfect Goal with Traffic Analytics

Wembley Stadium needed a reliable way to know, in real time, how many concertgoers were on the pitch and moving between areas, while still meeting strict health, safety, and evacuation requirements. To solve this challenge, Wembley worked with FLIR - Brickstream, using Brickstream video analytics sensors to replace manual counting and provide accurate occupancy and flow data across the venue.

FLIR - Brickstream and partner Axiomatic Technology installed overhead sensors across all 36 vomitories to track people anonymously and report real-time flow rates and occupancy to Event Control. The system delivered more than 95% accuracy, helped Wembley predict pitch fill times and crowd movement patterns, and provided factual data to support safer crowd management, compliance, and future event planning.
