How St Helens College Saves their Students’ Mobile Data with FlippingBook Publisher

St Helens College, one of the largest colleges in North West England serving students aged 14 through adults, struggled with increasingly large prospectuses that students mainly accessed on mobile devices. PDFs were slow to load, consumed students’ mobile data, and printing mailed prospectuses at about £2 each was costly and hard to justify. Using FlippingBook Publisher, St Helens College embeds mobile-friendly flipbooks on their website that open in one click without forcing students to download large files, significantly reducing data usage and improving load times. Hosting publications on their own server and adding individual Google Analytics tracking codes lets the college measure engagement and estimate print-cost savings (for example, estimating savings from online views instead of £2 postal copies). FlippingBook’s solution also supports a range of documents (from 4‑page leaflets to 230‑page prospectuses), improving accessibility and helping the marketing team quantify the value of digital distribution.
