How P&I Design Keeps their Manuals Online with FlippingBook Publisher

P&I Design, a UK engineering design firm established in 1978, needed a way to move large, paper-based design, testing and management manuals online so clients and field engineers could always access up-to-date documentation. The company’s big PDF files were slow to download—especially on iPads—and revisions sent by mail often never made it into the official manual. To solve this, P&I Design adopted FlippingBook, using FlippingBook Publisher to convert PDFs into interactive publications and hosting them on FlippingBook Cloud.

Using FlippingBook, P&I Design created publications with automatic tables of contents from PDF bookmarks, custom design, fast loading and controlled access via client logins. The result: documents load quickly on any device, navigation is much easier, and P&I Design maintains a single, centrally updated copy so clients and engineers always see the correct version. FlippingBook therefore improved usability in the field, reduced revision errors, and forced documentation to stay current.
