A FlippingBook Case Study
Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia, a council serving 122 counties and thousands of households across urban and very rural areas, needed a better way to distribute an 80+ page Program Guide after a large post‑merger reorganization. Printing and mailing full‑color guides to roughly 13,000 households was costly, emailing attachments was infeasible, and embedding PDFs loaded too slowly for volunteers and families on limited or dial‑up connections. The organization selected FlippingBook (using FlippingBook Publisher) to deliver a more accessible, interactive publication format.
Using FlippingBook Publisher, GSHG published a linkable, fast‑loading digital Program Guide that could be embedded on the website, shared by email and social media, and still printed for those who needed it. FlippingBook enabled interactive ads and links to vendors, which generated revenue (the 2018 guide ran 41 ads) to cover printing and shipping, improved access for volunteers and the 50–100k out‑of‑council visitors who come to Savannah annually, and made distribution far more efficient—resulting in faster access, broader reach, and cost‑neutral publishing.
