Marriott Hotels, specifically the London Marriott County Hall team, needed a mobile marketing tool to help Gillray’s Steakhouse & Bar stand out in London’s crowded restaurant market and extend its reach to steak and gin enthusiasts. Working with Fliplet, they set out to create an app that would build the brand’s credibility, support table bookings, and share offers and updates.

Fliplet delivered the Gillray’s Steak & Gin app, featuring an interactive steak timer, offline video content, image galleries, branded design, and an in-app browser for bookings and campaigns. The result was more than 1,500 downloads in 60 countries, 27,000 screen views, an average of 11 screens per session, and over 60% of users returning multiple times. Marriott Hotels also began using the app in corporate sales meetings and on iPads in the bar to better engage customers.
