A Flipdish Case Study

Edinburgh ghost kitchen Ozen releases limited edition dishes on their Flipdish-powered app

Ozen Street Food is an Edinburgh ghost kitchen run by co-owners Chris Thomas and Madhi Ben Hamou, known for its popular bao buns and rapidly changing limited‑edition menu. They needed a branded, fast-to-launch online ordering solution that integrated with existing hardware, allowed customers to book collection or delivery slots, and kept commission costs low — so they partnered with Flipdish to power their app and web ordering.

Flipdish delivered a Flipdish-powered Ozen app and QR code menu ordering system (launched April 2021) that integrates with the kitchen’s till, lets the team update photos and menu items instantly from a phone, and supports exclusive drops and collaborations sold only through the app. The Flipdish platform lowered commission costs so Ozen Street Food could reinvest in the business, grew customer reach and app downloads through limited-edition launches and collaborations, and positioned the brand for future expansion.
