Otra Norway AS, part of the Sonepar group with 13 self-service stores and over 150 employees, faced high labour costs and very low margins on most orders. To grow without eroding profitability they needed automated visibility into the true end-margin after discounts, vendor rebates and promotional fund usage, and a way to manage a large number of complex rebate arrangements—so they selected Flintfox (Flintfox for AX) to address these challenges.
Flintfox for AX was integrated into their Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP to automate pricing, vendor pricing and rebate calculations, capture promotional fund activity and apply rebates at point of sale. Flintfox enabled real-time margin visibility and the ability to decline unprofitable orders, replacing inefficient manual processes; as a result Otra reports having effectively doubled the size of its business while maintaining accurate, real-time margin and rebate records.
