How We Helped OTMH Become One of the Most Advanced Hospitals in Canada

Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital (OTMH) worked with FlexITy Solutions, Cisco, EllisDon’s ICAT team, and Halton Healthcare to modernize its hospital IT environment. The challenge was to build a reliable medical-grade network that could support clinical applications, give staff access to vital information anywhere in the facility, improve patient and staff safety, and strengthen communication across the hospital.

FlexITy Solutions implemented a resilient Cisco-based wired and wireless infrastructure, including Nexus switching, redundant components, and secure high-performance access for clinical workloads, plus RTLS, unified communications, and nearly 200 information screens. The result was a highly integrated hospital network with 3-meter location tracking accuracy, real-time patient monitoring access, enhanced asset/staff/infant safety, and better communication across OTMH and other Halton Healthcare sites.
