Corus Entertainment Inc., one of Canada’s leading integrated media and entertainment companies, needed a high-performance storage solution to support studio rendering and rapid transfer of imaging and media while maintaining strict security permissions across file systems. Corus turned to FlexITy Solutions, working with Hitachi Data Systems (HDS), to find a storage and network-attached storage platform that could meet demanding performance, security, and scalability requirements without disrupting operations or driving up costs.

FlexITy Solutions and HDS implemented a proof-of-concept and deployed the Hitachi Unified Storage (HUS) 150 with HNAS/NAS capabilities, enabling file system consolidation, secure cross-platform access, snapshots, and efficient data migration. The solution improved rendering production times, increased productivity and efficiency, simplified storage management, and lowered total cost of ownership, while delivering high availability and scalable performance for future growth.
