Case Study: Royal Academy of Engineering achieves streamlined, consistent grants management and CRM integration with Flexigrant

The Academy runs a programme of grants and prizes to support and celebrate the pursuit of engineering activities and to enable closer contact between academia and industry

The Royal Academy of Engineering selected Flexi‑Grant® from Flexigrant as its new grants management system to standardize the application process across its many and varied grant and prize schemes. The Academy needed the new system to integrate with its website and MS Dynamics CRM to provide single sign‑on, share user information, and handle the complexity of 40 schemes and a large annual application volume.

Flexigrant ran structured workshops to define a single end‑to‑end application-to-award process, configured Flexi‑Grant® with template forms, and integrated it with the website and CRM so Fellows could be assigned as external reviewers who log in and independently score applications. As a result, Flexigrant now supports over 30 grant and prize schemes and 1,500+ applications per year, delivering greater consistency, streamlined reviewer workflows, and improved post‑award monitoring.
