Case Study: Local Trust streamlines grant and community management with Flexigrant's Flexi-Grant

Local Trust are a place-based funder working with 150 Big Local areas, where people are making their communities even better places to live.

Local Trust, which supports 150 communities across the UK to help people improve their neighbourhoods, needed a system to manage grant applications and act as a repository for contacts, partnerships, plans and outputs. To meet this need, Local Trust engaged Flexigrant and its Flexi‑Grant® platform to deliver a combined grant-management and online community solution.

Flexigrant implemented and extended Flexi‑Grant®, configuring 150 community areas so each can publish local details, manage contacts, share news and apply for funding; Local Trust’s five-person grants team now handles about 150 applications per year through a single system covering application, decision, payment and reporting. The Flexigrant solution created a shared platform for the Big Local programme, centralising administration and activity across all communities.
