Princeton Digital Group (PDG), a leading developer and operator of internet infrastructure in Asia, faced a challenge in moving beyond monthly renewable energy accounting. For its 150 MW MU1 data center campus in Mumbai, PDG needed granular, hour-by-hour transparency to align its electricity consumption with carbon-free generation, which traditional methods could not provide. The company partnered with vendor Flexidao to address gaps in data visibility and auditability without adding operational complexity.

Flexidao implemented its data automation and software solutions to create a scalable infrastructure for granular energy management. The platform automatically collected and standardized meter data, matching PDG's hourly consumption to solar generation from its supplier, Tata Power Renewables. This solution provided PDG with live, auditable tracking of its energy use, centralized proof-of-purchase documentation for compliance, and automated processes that increased operational efficiency. As a result, PDG became the first data center operator in India to achieve hourly time-matched carbon-free energy, setting a new precedent for low-carbon digital infrastructure and marking a concrete step toward a 24/7 clean energy supply.
