North East Lincolnshire Council—responsible for services across more than twenty towns and villages and managing over 2,500 devices—faced a growing patch-management problem. A small ICT security team had limited visibility into third‑party application versions and vulnerabilities, relied on manual spreadsheets, and needed to demonstrate continuous compliance with PSN Codes of Connection while fixing critical flaws faster than they could be exploited.

The council deployed Flexera’s Software Vulnerability Manager (SVM), quickly integrating it with Microsoft WSUS after a short trial.
