Finova, the UK mortgage and savings technology provider, was struggling with overspending and poor visibility across its Azure infrastructure as cloud compute costs topped £1M annually. To address this, the company looked for a way to optimize development, test, and production workloads without sacrificing reliability, and chose Flexera’s Spot Elastigroup for its Azure environment.

Flexera implemented Elastigroup to move workloads onto Azure Spot VMs with fallback protection, giving Finova the same reliability with much lower cost. The result was nearly 70% savings in annualized Azure compute spend for development and test, plus better visibility, team-level cost accountability, and faster scaling for engineers; Finova is now expanding the approach to other Azure environments.
