MegaRobo, a developer of artificially intelligent robots best known for its plug-and-play robo-barista, needed a partner that combined technology expertise, manufacturing know-how and retail experience to move the product from concept through design, certification and mass production. They engaged Flex on a Sketch-to-Scale® project to accelerate development, secure supply chain support and ensure the solution met food-safety and retail integration requirements.

Flex delivered a customized demo unit within two months and provided end-to-end services—design and engineering, software and PLC/robotic-arm programming, WeChat app development, advanced mechanical design, and a lean, scalable supply chain—enabling seamless integration of connected intelligence into the consumer product. The rapid approach yielded quick time-to-market: the first machine was completed in February 2019 (four months after the October 2018 kickoff), with additional machines delivered in April and June 2019, demonstrating measurable progress from concept to production.
