Major Mobile Communication Company needed to design, develop and manufacture high volumes of 5G-ready remote radio units (RRUs) that covered multiple frequency bands and power levels. They engaged Flex for its design, new-product development, test engineering and global manufacturing capabilities to turn an early reference design into a production-ready RRU offering.

As a result, Flex moved the program from design to factory approval in twelve months, reduced manufacturing cost and improved margins through component sourcing, and enabled operator-specific customization with its Sketch-to-Scale™ services, delivering mass-production-ready 5G RRUs across sub-6 GHz and mmWave bands.
