Leading Pharmacy Chain, a pharmacy retailer operating in major international airports including Singapore Changi, needed a custom application to extract complete sales data from multiple Point of Sale systems in Singapore and Australia and feed it into its reporting environment. The challenge was to connect two separate applications and convert the sales data into the required format for the reporting tool.

Flatworld Solutions built a .NET-based bridge application that logged into an SFTP server, retrieved text-formatted sales files from the PoS vendor, converted the data into the needed format, and inserted it into the client’s reporting tool. The solution automated reporting end to end, ran without human intervention even overnight, and delivered a cost-effective result that the client was extremely pleased with.
