Energy Consulting Group, a Texas-based U.S. provider of energy design services for historic buildings, remodels, and new homes, needed help analyzing the energy specifications and efficiency of multiple residential real estate projects. Flatworld Solutions was brought in to support MEP engineering reviews, IECC compliance checks, and a detailed assessment of building components such as ventilation ducts, piping, and HVAC systems, while also accounting for local climate and environmental conditions.

Flatworld Solutions assigned an account manager and two energy analysts and used Ekotrope cloud-based software with HERS rating capabilities to complete the reviews using the client’s drawings, MEP details, material data, and site information. The result was a completed energy analysis for 7 residential projects in about 1 week, giving Energy Consulting Group a fast, cost-effective turnaround with real-time visibility into progress.
