EmployUs, a venture-backed startup that manages an automated candidate referral system, faced a major challenge with customer onboarding. Their product required data from various applicant tracking systems (ATS), and building custom integrations for each new client was halting product development and complicating sales. After CTO Matt Cotter's co-founder discovered Flatfile, they tested its data importer as a solution to this inefficient process.

By implementing Flatfile, EmployUs replaced most of their custom integrations with a single, streamlined CSV import solution. The Flatfile importer was integrated and deployed to all customers in less than a day, removing the barrier to entry for new clients and eliminating the need for internal teams to build and maintain complex one-off integrations. This allowed EmployUs to focus its development efforts on improving its core referral service instead of on data importation.
