Global Credit Ratings Provider Moves Databases from Exadata to AWS, Selects FlashGrid as the New Platform

A major credit ratings provider faced the significant challenge of migrating its dozens of mission-critical Oracle databases from Oracle Exadata to AWS. The customer needed a new platform that could deliver the same high availability and performance in the cloud without disruption. They selected FlashGrid to provide a solution.

FlashGrid implemented an architecture for the customer based on its engineered cloud system with Oracle RAC. The solution delivered active-active nodes across availability zones for maximum uptime, combined high-performance and high-capacity storage, and used Infrastructure-as-Code for fast, repeatable deployments. As a result, the customer now runs its high-performance databases on AWS with full flexibility. A key measurable impact was that deploying a new, proven database cluster now takes only two hours. Reliable operation and continuous support from FlashGrid were cited as key success factors for the migration.
